Chaque jour je parfais ma culture des grandes maisons de luxe... En parcourant la dernière actualité de la maison Piaget, j'ai appris comment était né sa ligne Rose. En mode, comme en joaillerie certaines maisons sont associées à des fleurs, le camélia chez Chanel, la rose pour Piaget. Historiquement cette relation remonte à 1982, quand Yves Piaget se voit dédier une nouvelle rose. Elles sont rares les personnes à "posséder" une fleur qui leur rend hommage... entre passion et amour, la reprise de la chanson d'Édith Piaf "La vie en rose" par Melody Gardot était peut être un signal fort pour que Piaget et la chanteuse se retrouvent le temps d'un instant...
Each day I polish my knowledge of great luxury houses... Going through the last news from Piaget, I learned how was created its Rose line. In fashion, like in jewellery some houses are associated to flowers. Camellia for Chanel, Rose for Piaget. Historically this relationship starts back in 1982, when Yves Piaget gets his name on a Rose flower. There are just few people "owning" a flower which make tribute to them... Between passion and love, a cover from Edith Piaf song "La vie en rose" by Melody Gardot is maybe a strong signal for Piaget and the singer to meet at once...
Sous l'œil du photographe Fabrizio Ferri, Melody Gardot devient l'image du joaillier Piaget pour sa collection Rose. Une série d'images qui retranscrivent la féminité, la sensualité et le luxe d'une ligne de haute joaillerie. Une fois de plus je suis très sensible aux créations proposées par Piaget, que nous avons peut être plus l'habitude de citer pour ses productions de haute horlogerie. Pendant le shooting, Melody portait 4 pièces de la ligne Rose :

Le collier Limelight Garden Party Rose en or blanc 18k serti de 404 diamants taille brillant (environ 29,83 cts), de 37 diamants taille poire (environ 11,43 cts) et de calcédoine blanche (une variété cryptocristalline de quartz). Réf G37LH200.
Le collier Rose en or blanc 18k serti de 502 diamants taille brillant (environ 35,88 cts), 1 saphire bleu taille poire (8,64 cts) et 1 saphir bleu taille coussin (environ 22,69 cts). Réf G37LG600.
La bague Rose en or blanc 18k sertie de 89 diamants taille brillant (environ 1,43 cts) et 1 saphir bleu taille coussin (environ 7,39 cts). Réf G34LV800.
Pour les admirateurs de Melody Gardot, sachez que sa reprise de "La vie en rose" est à découvrir depuis le 16 avril sur le site Rose Piaget. Elle sera disponible en bonus sur la version luxe de son album "The Absence" en vente à partir du 28 mai. C'est étrange mais je suis tellement plus sensible aux reprises de cette chanson qu'à la version originale, cela n'engage que moi !
Under the eye of the fashion photographer Fabrizio Ferri, Melody Gardot becomes the jeweler image for its Rose collection. A series of photo which transcribe feminity, sensuality and luxe from a high hand jewellery collection. Once again, I'm very sensitive to creations proposed by Piaget, which is more used to be noticed for its high hand watchmaking. During shooting, Melody was wearing 4 pieces from Rose line-up :

For Melody Gardot fans, you might want to know that "La vie en rose" cover is available since 16th of april on Piaget website. It will be a bonus track for her new deluxe album "The Absence" on sails 28th of may. It's strange but I'm much more opened to cover tracks from this song than the original one, just my opinion !
